The deep contrast between two characters, Amirah and Arabella, reveals the complexities inherent in the human experience. The book is written from a third-person narrative and a first-person perspective, conveying its message through gentle storytelling.

Amirah is driven by success with privilege, doing anything necessary to reach the beauty of her dreams until she falls in love with Mahika, the son of her holistic doctor.

Arabella has lived her life in deep tragedy; quietly introspective, outwardly happy, but deep down feels broken and unbearably wounded by her father’s fatal overdose. While most people are born in a white room, representing purity, cleanliness, and new beginnings, she is born in a red room, not noticing that the color is abrasive, destructive, and unorthodox.

The book gradually becomes more complex as we take a deep dive into glimpses of Arabella’s life that shape her character as a whole, and into Amirah’s role in saving parts of Arabella’s identity.
